Do I need a boating license in Arizona?
Arizona's boater education rule, quoted from Arizona Game and Fish Department, checked against your boat and birth year.
The rule in Arizona
Arizona has no boater education requirement.
"Does your state require mandatory boating safety education for some segment of the population? No. Who is required to complete a boating education course in your state? Only volunteer boating safety education instructors for the agency."
We also read every section of Arizona's watercraft chapter (A.R.S. Title 5, Chapter 3) and found no course requirement. A 2024 bill to require one, HB 2149, was held in the Senate.
