  We’ve rented a boat from F.R. Smith & Sons Marina for multiple days each summer over the past four years, and the experience has been consistently outstanding. We’ve worked primarily with Scott, the owner, and he has always been a pleasure to deal with. He’s knowledgeable, dependable, responsive, and genuinely cares that his customers have a great experience on the water. On one occasion we had a question about a boat gauge while we were out on the lake, and we were able to reach Scott right away. He quickly talked us through the issue, which gave us peace of mind and allowed us to get back to enjoying the day. The entire staff deserves recognition as well. Everyone we’ve encountered has been friendly, attentive, organized, and efficient from check-in through return. It’s not easy to find a business that delivers the same high level of service year after year, but F.R. Smith & Sons Marina has done exactly that for us. We look forward to renting from them every summer and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, well-run marina on Lake George.

  Fantastic ride with Scott on Lake George today! We learned so much about the area, the wildlife, and the islands. He was a wealth of knowledge about the history of the area and even shared some great recommendations for our stay. I highly recommend Scott as a top notch captain to charter your next ride with FR Smith & Sons Marina. One of the best ways to spend a sunny day in Lake George this summer.

  We had an absolutely fantastic time with F.R. Smith & Sons! We went out on a pontoon boat with a group of 10, including 4 kids, and it was perfect for us. The boat itself was really nice and looked relatively new, which made the trip even better. Our captain, Scott, took us around Lake George for two hours, and it was a really, really nice ride. Scott is a super nice guy and made the whole experience so much fun for the whole family. Highly recommend booking with them if you're in Bolton Landing!

  I've been island camping on Lake George since I was a young kid. When I got older, I never wanted to buy my own boat. After many, many years of renting boats in Bolton Landing and up North on the lake, I decided to give F.R. Smith & Sons a try. That was 6 years ago, and I will never rent from another company! Their service is great and the boats are great! Thank you Scott for always being there with a smile and helping hand! Any time there was any issue (which was rare) with one of our boats, they either fixed it fast, or gave us another one until ours was fixed. From check in to check out, always an easy, seamless process. Highly recommend!
