  Our family had a fabulous vacation here! Rented a large cabin and pontoon. Our cabin was perfect with beautiful views. North Shores Marina thank you, we will be back! Maybe we will rent a house boat with a slide next time. 😄

  The view was beautiful, but that doesn’t weigh out the terrible service and costs. The staff was terrible when we gave them nothing but respect and happiness. The second we got there, we got nothing but disrespect and insolence. Now to the big part: when we first got on the boat, she pointed out that she WOULD BE taking a photo of the propeller, didn’t think anything of it. When we went to go pay for the gas, they tell us we damaged a propeller. Then continues to show us the WORST two photos of the propeller, clearly showing their scam tactics. We have had lots of experiences with boats in the past, and we know what it feels like to break a propeller, that didn’t happen. They locked us in the office while they were out there “filling it with gas”, which who knows if that’s all they were doing. It’s a very common scam in this area to act like there’s “damage” to the equipment. Do not fall for it. We were then charged 200 dollars, absolutely ridiculous. If the people would’ve been nicer, it wouldn’t have even been as bad. But their attitude was so incredibly terrible, I would be leaving this review either way. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!! ABSOLUTE SCAM!!!

  We rented a tritoon boat. This lake was beautiful. The boat was okay. The girl working looked like she would rather be anywhere else. When we checked in, she went and took a picture of the propellor and basically showed us how to start the boat and use the gps. When we got back, she and some Guy hung out at the dock for awhile while We unloaded and changed clothes. When they did come in, she told us we broke the propeller. We had been very careful with the boat. When she showed us the before pictures, she kept her phone close to her body and scrolled through them quickly. There was also not a photo of the entire propellor. When we looked at the actual propeller, it looked like it had been beaten up for some time. There was no way we could have done that damage. They also charged a LOT for fuel. Word to the wise, take your own pictures and do not leave the boat unsupervised when you return it until you see the propellor. The “propellor scan” is a common thing in the area.

  We’ve rented a houseboat from these folks for the last four years and have always had a great experience. The marina recently was damaged due to the winter storm but you can tell the team worked their butts off to have things ready for summer.
